These cookies are necessary for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled.

2.2 Session Storage (Not Cookies — Cleared on Tab Close)
We use browser sessionStorage to carry information between onboarding steps. This data is never sent to third parties and is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab.
- na_utm_source, na_utm_medium, na_utm_campaign, na_utm_content: UTM attribution parameters from the URL you used to find us
- na_ref: Referral code if you were referred by someone
- na_experience_level: Your selected persona from onboarding Step 2, carried to Step 3
- na_signup_start: Timestamp of when you started the signup flow, used for funnel analytics
All sessionStorage entries are cleared when you close the browser tab. They are not accessible after your session ends.
2.3 Analytics Cookies (PostHog)
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how users interact with our platform.

2.4 Cookies We Do NOT Use
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- No advertising cookies — we do not run ads and do not use ad tracking pixels
- No Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or any ad network cookies
- No third-party marketing cookies
- No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking
- No cookies that track you on other websites
3. Stripe Payment Cookies
When you proceed to checkout, Stripe sets cookies on their own domain (stripe.com) to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not control these cookies.
4. Your Cookie Choices
4.1 Essential Cookies
Essential cookies cannot be disabled — they are required for the platform to work. If you disable them through your browser settings, you will not be able to log in to Notary Advisor.
4.2 Analytics Cookies
You can opt out of PostHog analytics by:
- Emailing us at legal@notary-advisor.com with the subject "Analytics Opt-Out" — we will flag your account
- Using a browser extension that blocks analytics (e.g., uBlock Origin)
- Enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser (we honor DNT signals for analytics)
4.3 Browser Controls
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions
Blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging in to Notary Advisor.
5. Do Not Track
We honor the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. If your browser sends a DNT:1 signal, we will not load PostHog analytics for your session.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this Cookie Policy and notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform.
